About Gundambay
Gundambay is a free, independent deck builder and strategy simulator for the Gundam Card Game (GCG). It exists to help players build better decks and understand the meta with real data instead of guesswork.
Why we built it
The Gundam Card Game is young, and for a new game there is very little competitive data to lean on: few large tournaments, few public results, and no easy way to know whether a deck is actually good before you sit down to play it. Most deckbuilding still comes down to gut feeling and copying whatever list is popular that week.
Gundambay was created to close that gap. Alongside a fast, free deck builder, we run a simulator we call the Battle Lab: it plays thousands of games between decks to estimate matchup win rates, then uses those results to build a data-driven picture of the meta. When there is no tournament data to rely on, a good simulation is the next best thing — and it is the differentiator that makes Gundambay more than just another card database.
What you can do here
- Browse every card. Search and filter the full Gundam GCG card pool with up-to-date details.
- Build and share decks. Create, edit, and publish decks for free, and explore lists from the community.
- Track your collection. Organize the cards you own into binders and manage your wishlist.
- Test in the Battle Lab. Simulate your deck against the meta to see estimated win rates and where it is strong or weak.
- Read the meta. See which archetypes are performing, generated from simulation rather than hype.
How the data is made
Our meta insights come from our own simulations: we play out large numbers of games between decks to estimate how matchups tend to go, then turn those results into a clear picture of what's strong right now. We're honest about the limits, too — a simulation is a model, not a substitute for live tournament play, and we say so wherever we present results. As real tournament data becomes available, we plan to fold it in to sharpen the picture even further.
Who's behind Gundambay
Gundambay is an independent project built and maintained by Martin Carreiro — a software developer with years of experience in operations research, and a Gundam Card Game player. That background in modeling and analyzing complex systems is exactly what powers the simulations behind our meta insights. It started as a personal tool for building and testing decks and grew into the site you're using now. It is a solo, community-first effort rather than a company, which means feedback from players directly shapes what gets built next.
